How children and young people win friends and influence others

This research was commissioned by the Carnegie UK Trust to inform the Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland. The report is one of three strands of the Inquiry’s work that have addressed the relationship between young people and civil society. 

Altogether Now

This report presents a summary of a series of six seminars held jointly by the Carnegie UK Trust and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations during 2008-2009. The seminar series explored the dynamics of bridging social capital in a number of different contexts. Themes included diversity and social cohesion, intergenerational connections and dimensions of equality.

Briefing Paper - Civil Society, Social Justice and Climate Change

This paper outlines some of the initial findings of the first phase of research carried out by the new economics foundation (nef) about bridging the social justice and climate change agendas. The paper was developed to inform a roundtable event where the issues raised would be discussed in more depth.

This is a paper written by Tony Kendle at the Eden Project explaining the background to a new project between the Carnegie UK Trust and the Eden Project. The project is to develop a guide for non-environmental civil society organisations to understand and respond to the challenges and opportunities brought by climate change and resource scarcity.
