Drawing on the Carnegie Young People Initiative, the Carnegie UK Trust was keen to ensure that the Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland explored the relationships between children, young people and civil society. The Trust has therefore:
- Hosted a futures workshop for young people aged 16-21 to explore their views of what the future might hold for civil society. This event took place in September 2007. Click here to download a report that summarises the findings of this event.
- Commissioned research to explore the nature of the relationships between children, young people and civil society (available in early 2008).
The Carnegie UK Trust has also collaborated with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation who supported an inititiative to engage children and young people with the Inquiry through the arts. Click here to download the findings of this work or go to http://www.phf.org.uk/news.asp?id=223
