Think Piece Contributuions

The Inquiry Commission is keen to hear diverse views about the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland. We are pleased to have received a number of think-pieces that captured the wide scope of civil society which the Inquiry is seeking to understand better.

The think-pieces submitted have been shared with the Inquiry Commission and the International Advisory Group and we hope that their availability online will stimulate further public discussion and debate. Themes include the future of trade unions, the political campaigning role of civil society and the future role of religious and faith-based organisations in civil society. Submissions came from both individuals and organisations, included perspectives from England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, and incorporate a rural dimension.

Think-pieces received to date are attached below, listed by theme and author of the article.

Please note, the Carnegie UK Trust normally does not take institutional positions on public policy issues; the views presented in the think-pieces do not necessarily reflect the views of the Trust, its officers, staff, or trustees.
